10 Quick, Easy School Hairstyles!

I think we all dread waking up in the morning and having to waste twenty minutes trying to fix our hair - without actually doing anything other than moving mess to another position. Especially because school starts early - and people, usually, don't.

And so, on my day off, I decided to write a post about the quick, easy school hairstyles that are pretty and efficient. Without further ado . . .

1. A Messy Bun.
The messy bun is probably one of the easiest and hardest hairstyles to pull off because . . . well, it's messy. It has to be done artfully, or it looks like you've woken up in a bush. However, there are many tutorials out there for messy buns; in fact, I will add three. (http://www.beautylish.com/a/vxyui/easy-bun-tutorial  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8y-3kWA5Jg http://www.thesmallthingsblog.com/2013/03/the-messiest-of-buns-hair-tutorial.html)
2. A Fishtail Plait.
Probably the easiest style ever, what I love about the fishtail plait is that it can look as messy or as neat as you like, but it will always look styled and intricate. Also, the fact the braid is ridiculously simple and takes literally two minutes of your time. 3. A High Ponytail
(I'm sorry, but can we all take a moment to appreciate the perfection that is Cheryl Cole's hair in this picture? It's gorgeous. It really is.) High ponytails are easy, quick and - if done right - look awesome. A basic tutorial: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-High-Ponytail
4. A Fishtail Ponytail
If your hair is long, a fishtail ponytail is a quick-fix!

5. Half-Up, Half-Down
Has anybody else ever noticed how one layer of you hair always looks perfect? For me, it's the bottom. No matter what the weather is, how completely ruined the rest of my hair is . . . the bottom will always be in perfect defined curls. Half-up, half down is the perfect way to show off the part of your hair that isn't a total mess and make your hair look a little bit more styled with a lot less time. To make it a bit more interesting, you can add a braids in or curls. 6. Side Ponytail
Side ponytails are simple, quick and pretty. And easy. They're also easy to elaborate - French braid the back; add a bobble, curl the ponytail, twist your bangs etc.

7. French Braid
French braids are hard to learn, but once you get the hang of them they're quick and - more importantly - a tidy, efficient fix to bad hair days. An easy-to-follow tutorial here: http://2good2lose.com/braid-french.shtml

8. Leave It Out!
If you twist your bangs, add a few curls, or even leave your hair completely au naturel, you can just it out and go! (Maybe. Hopefully . . .)

9. Pigtails
Embrace your inner six-year old! (Just don't go around licking people or crying for your mummy in the supermarket. You may lose friends through that. I talk from experience.) Pigtails are adorable. They really are.

10. Pigtail braids

And with that, I think we have finished this post! Until next time!
